OUR MISSION “GIVING BACK TO THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN”
The Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation is a non-profit organization established and dedicated to honoring seniors and United States military veterans. The primary focus is on individuals living in long-term care communities. Our mission is to “Give Back To Those Who Have Given”. Through our donors, the Foundation provides Dream Flights in a Boeing Stearman biplane, the same aircraft used to train many military aviators in the 1940’s.

Memorial Day Story Opportunity: Apple Valley WWII Vet to be Ageless Aviation Dreams’ 1000th Flight
When: May 25, Memorial Day, from 9 a.m. to sunset
Where: Airlake Airport; Hamburg Ave #20D, Lakeville, MN
What: Apple Valley WWII veteran, Robert Campbell, 95, who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 in Germany and other locations, will have a Memorial Day to remember. Campbell was a pilot in the 8th Air Force, and flew night missions, without escort, dropping leaflets over Germany and occupied countries. He flew 49 missions and received the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Campbell, along with twelve additional local WWII and Korean War veterans from Apple Valley and Lakeville, will experience flights of a lifetime through the Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation (AADF). Campbell has been chosen to be AADF’s 1000th flight, a milestone for AADF President Darryl Fisher, who restored the Foundation’s plane, a 1940s Boeing Stearman, with the goal of recognizing veterans living in long-term care communities through providing a memorable experience in flight.
The “Dream Flights” are made possible through sponsors, such as primary sponsor Sport Clips Haircuts, a national sports-themed salon franchise that specializes in hair care for men and boys and has 32 locations in the greater Minneapolis area. Through Sport Clips’ support as primary sponsor, AADF will be able to launch approximately 500 to 600 flights across the U.S. by the end of 2015.
In addition to Dream Flights, the day’s events will include food and drinks for veterans and attendees, and local Sport Clips Haircuts team members will provide red, white, and blue hair and face-painting for kids – and the young at heart.
