Paul Garofalo

Paul Garofalo

Paul Garagalo served our country as a US Navy Pilot for 26 years.  Retiring in 1968 he continued flying for an oil company for 12 years.  During his service in the Pacific Theatre he was shot down while flying a combat mission over Okinawa and was rescued by one of our submarines.  Of his years in the Navy, Paul said, “I don’t regret a minute of it.  I would do it all over again if I could.”  After his Dream Flight, Paul said, “It was great, being in the air again, the blood rushing through my body, it was very exciting! I learned to fly in a Stearman Bi-plan and it was exciting to be in one again.”
