Bob Hashagen

Bob joined the National Guard as a senior in high school 1947. He joined the air force in 1948. Upon entering the AF he volunteered for japan and got that. Like most people he didn’t know what was going on when the war broke out in Korea. His primary job was to decode and distributed all messages from north and south Korea. His best memory is that he hand delivered messages to Gen. Douglas MacArthur. Bob came back from the war and under the GI Bill went to flight school and college. He flew for several years flying Cessna’s, Cherokees, and Moonies.  “This flights means that I have been wanted to fly over this area for years to see what it really looks like.” Bob makes his home at Hillside in McMinnville Oregon.
