After two years of college at OSU he went into the aviation program. Went through basic at Lackland AFB then onto Mariana Florida for flight training. LeRoy started in a t34, then went on to his primary twin-engine jet t37. He went back to college after resigning from the air force and got his masters degree from OSU in forest genetics. Him and his wife have two beautiful boys. About his dream flight LeRoy said, “It’s a step back in time, it brought back a lot of memories of flying again”. LeRoy makes his home at hillside retirement center in McMinnville Oregon.
