||Irene (Lynch) Carel was born May 8th, 1923 in Platt, South Dakota. She was the youngest of seven children. Her family mved to Murdo, South Dakota, when she was a small child and later to Deadwood, South Dakota, where she graduated from high school. She and her sister, Pauline, enlisted in the Navy on November 4th, 1943 at Reno, Nevada. She was an administration/security clerk while in the military. She was honorable discharfed as a yeoman second class on March 6th, 1946 at Great Lakes, Chicago Illinois. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper until she married her husband, Chuck Carel, on February 22nd, 1952. They lived in California for many years and had two daughters, Cynthia and Sandra. After her divorce, Irene moved with her daughter, Sandra, and husband Don Madison, to Henderson, Nevada. They moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona, approximately 2003. She has been a resident of The Garnet of Casa Grande, in Casa Grande, Arizona since July 2013.
