He enlisted into the US Air Force at the young age of 17, enabling him to travel as a crew chief for several different planes from Florida to California, fixing the planes along the way. He was too young to be enlisted for WWII; however, he did have involvement in the Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He attended the College of Alabama State, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Finance; where he picked up an interest in the stock markets. He began his career as a Draftsman drawing the building plans for Metroplex Supply Co. He worked his way up to be the Vice President of the Company for 8 years. He then became the Salesman Director Manager of Clow Valve for 21 years. He has always enjoyed the great outdoors of hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Jeanette Wray, of whom he met in Texas and married in 1982, have always had a ranch to call home. Starting off with just a plot of land, they eventually upgraded to a 336 acre Ranch and later decided to downsize and move to East Texas. In his spare time he loved to work in his barn either building wood designs or welding and flying sail planes.
