Rollin Frum age 91 was in the Army air Corps in Europe. He was a major and served from 1942 to 1946
He was credited with the destruction of three enemy aircraft on the ground while strafing enemy airfields in a P 51. His primary mission was to escort B-17 bomber’s on their missions into the Third Reich.
Rollin was originally based in England as a member of “The Blue-Nosed Bastards of Bodney.” After D-Day, his unit was transferred to Belgium.
His most exciting story was about getting shot up by ground fire and still being able to cross the Channel to his old base for a crash landing!
